Keep a Family Warm, Safe & Dry Before the Next Storm

Thousands of displaced families in Gaza will face this winter in tents that can't keep out the rain, many with only the summer clothes they fled in. For $195, you can protect one family completely: a thermal blanket, a tarpaulin for their shelter, and a voucher to choose their own warm clothes.

Winter in the camps

This is what rain does to the tents, and the children, of Gaza

Last winter, torrential rain hit the camps on December 14. Tents flooded within minutes. Water ran under mattresses and blankets, ruining bedding, food and documents. Children spent the night in wet clothes with nowhere dry to sleep. This year, we want to be ready before the rain comes.

After the rain, children look for something dry to sleep under. There isn't any. Mattresses and blankets are hung out to dry, but night falls before they do. A thermal blanket and a tarpaulin mean a warm, dry night for a family's children. Documented by the FSH team · Last winter, December 2025

A dry night shouldn't be a luxury. $95 = a thermal blanket + a tarpaulin. One family sleeps warm and dry, even when it storms.

Winter clothing vouchers · $100

Warm clothes. Their choice.

We don't hand out bags of random sizes. A voucher lets each family walk into a local shop and pick the sizes and items their children really need.

The right fit: a coat that actually fits, not one left in a corner.
Dignity of choice: families decide what they need, not us.
Local traders win too: buying locally keeps prices fair and money in the community.

Your children have winter coats. These children are still waiting for theirs.

Those who feel the cold first, we reach first

Older people. Widows raising families alone. People with disabilities who can't easily move when a shelter floods. Newborns and infants. They're the first families we reach in every distribution.

Don't just help them survive this winter. Help them live it with dignity.

Your questions, answered

Does the aid really reach Gaza?

Yes. FSH has worked in Gaza for years with local teams and partners. Last winter our aid reached more than 6,000 people there.

How much of my donation goes to families?

About 93% of the Winter Project budget goes to direct assistance for families.

Are these photos from this year?

We date every photo and video. The images on this page are from last winter (2025). We'll add winter 2026 footage as distributions take place.

Why vouchers instead of handing out clothes?

Vouchers let families choose the right sizes and what they actually need, and they support local traders in Gaza.
